Chelsea came from behind on Tuesday, to beat League One outfit Lincoln City 2-1 in the third round of the EFL Cup, advancing to the next stage of the competition.

Lincoln stunned the Premier League giants shortly before half-time when Reeco Street opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, firing past Jorgensen to give the hosts a shock lead at LNER Stadium.
The Imps, roared on by their home support, looked set to take the advantage into the break.
However, Chelsea responded quickly after the interval. Just three minutes into the second half, 18-year-old Tyrique George equalised with a composed finish, calming nerves among the visiting fans.
The turnaround was complete in the 50th minute when Argentine midfielder Facundo Buonanotte struck decisively to put the Blues ahead, scoring his first goal for the club.
Lincoln pressed for a late equaliser and pushed Chelsea deep into their own half in the closing stages, but Enzo Maresca’s men managed the game well to see out the win.
The victory adds another step in Chelsea’s quest for silverware this season. Having endured mixed results in the Premier League and Champions League of recent, the EFL Cup offers the club a realistic opportunity to claim a trophy.
Chelsea now await their opponents in the last eight draw as they continue their push for a first League Cup triumph since 2015.
