Ogun Sate Gov’t Adopts AI Innovation In Teaching

Ogun State Government has adopted Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technological innovation in teaching and learning in schools to stimulate education development.

Governor Dapo Abiodun launched the first-of-its-kind Artificial Intelligence, AI,-powered Teaching and Learning Platform known as the Ogun Learning Enhancement and Academic Resource Network, OgunLearn, aimed at repositioning the state’s education sector for 21st-century learning.

Governor Abiodun, at the launch, said OgunLearn would provide comprehensive lesson resources and interactive learning support for students while enabling teachers to plan lessons, access teaching materials, and track academic performance more efficiently.

He explained that the platform is designed to promote creativity, digital thinking, and self-paced learning, noting that beyond content delivery, it will also nurture accountability, analytical thinking, and lifelong learning skills among learners.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu; and other stakeholders recalled how the state leveraged technology during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure uninterrupted learning. He added that the introduction of OgunLearn has further consolidated Ogun State’s leadership position in the education sector.
