Police Arrest Suspected Vandals in Benue State

Benue State Police Command has warned citizens who engage in destroying critical infrastructures to desist from it stating that these act of sabotage undermines development and punishable by law.

Steven Hassan Yabanet, State Police Commissioner, disclosed this at the command headquarters in Makurdi where he paraded some suspected vandals apprehended along Makurdi – Naka road in Gwer West local government transporting the petroleum vandalized pipes in a Nissan truck.

CP Yabanet, who promises to prosecute the vandals, said the five suspects from Nassarawa state during interrogation could not give satisfactory account of how they got the items but assured that other suspects in connection with the case will be identified and rough to book.

Meanwhile the commissioner of police also paraded three suspected armed robbers arrested in Yogbo Community in Guma local government area for terrorizing unsuspecting victims, states that the command will leave no stone unturned in its quest to fish out criminal elements.
