UNILAG Students Urged to Join Tosin Adesile Essay Competition 2.0 on Nigeria’s Economic Revival

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has opened the doors for its students to showcase their intellectual prowess in the upcoming Tosin Adesile Essay Competition 2.0, themed “Fixing Nigeria’s Economy: Now or Never”.

This annual competition, organized by Mr. Tosin Adesile, CEO and Editor In Chief of The Sparklight News and founder of The Press Club, University of Lagos, aims to provide a platform for students to engage in critical discourse on pressing national issues.

UNILAG undergraduates are encouraged to participate in the competition, which offers substantial rewards of ₦50,000, ₦30,000, and ₦20,000 for the top three essays.

Timeline:
Essay submissions are open from February 17th to March 31st, 2024, and must be submitted in Word Document format via the provided link: https://forms.gle/ETQnAuW26eCCh7Sb6

Requirements:
Competitors must ensure that their entries include their full name, matriculation number, and department at the beginning of their essays.

Tosin Adesile Essay Competition launched in 2022, the competition serves as a testament to Adesile’s commitment to giving back to his alma mater, where he kickstarted his journalism career. As an esteemed figure in the media industry, Adesile aims to foster academic excellence and critical thinking among UNILAG students through this initiative, emphasizing the importance of engaging with pressing national issues.
