Today, August 9th, marks the grand finale of the festival, honoring Osun, the revered river goddess of fertility.

The festival’s highlight is the majestic procession led by the Arugba, a young votary maiden embodying purity and hope, as she carries a sacred calabash from the palace to the Osun Osogbo sacred grove.

This ancient ritual is believed to bring prosperity and blessings to the community.
