Justice Nyako of the Federal High Court Abuja has legally rejected the request of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of Biafran agitators, to be removed from the custody of Department of State Service (DSS) to a house arrest or prison custody.
Nyako said the Biafran leader had placed such request before, of which he was granted but jumped the bail and sneakingly fled out of the country.
The Justice clarified further by stating assertively on how the two sureties presented by Kanu were arrested and had to be discharged on legal ground of not knowing his whereabouts and the inability to locate him as at the time of their arrest.
The Justice also said the available option available for Nnamdi Kanu was to file for exercise right of appeal at the Court of Appeal.
However, Kanu according to his counsel insisted on not standing before any trial as that would be a breach of Nigeria’s constitution and International law of prosecution.
