The Federal Government has repatriated One Hundred and Ninety (190) Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates.
It was learnt that the returnees were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 5.45am in Tuesday by a combined team of government officials led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
Bashir Idris Garga, NEMA Director for North Central Zone, made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday morning.
He said the returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies and sensitized to behave with decorum and responsibility on their return to Nigeria.
“The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” he added.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) lifted its visa ban imposed on Nigerians.
