After five years of Nasrul Lahil Fathi,( NASFAT) unwavering commitment in bringing prospective Muslims into the fold of Islam as well as promoting ISLAM as a religion of peace within the community under its coverage and beyond, it is worthy of note to celebrate five years of existence in style.
Alhaji Abdul Rasheed Oluwa, Chairman, NASFAT Iju/Oko Oba branch who made this known while addressing members of the press as part of its activities marking five years of existence with theme: Islam & Marriage: Lifestyle of Prophet Mohammed which the major event will climax on Sunday.
He said Fulani herdsmen are just hiding under the guise of beign Muslims; Muslims are peace loving and law abiding. Even the Quran detest killing one another.
He said, According to him,” In a bid to make life worthy of upcoming generation within Iju Oko Oba, the branch capacity linked with the support of experienced instructors had committed itself to a multi-faceted quality education ranging from Secondary to combat future challenges”.
Alhaji Oluwa noted their parental support which has been unequalled, inculcating etiquettes and moulding quality behaviour capable of building leadership roles leaders both within and outside NASFAT. On the issue of welfare, the association has been assisting in the area of health and as part of the celebration; it will give out free health care to both members and non-members.
The branch which started operation on December 24, 2003 at Olaoranku Central Mosque in the Iju/Oko Oba Central Mosque with few members today can now boast of thousands of Muslim faithful’s as a result of the dedication on the part of the executives and Council of elders.
