The Ogun state house of assembly on Thursday, impeached the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Dare Kadir on grounds of alleged gross misconduct.
He represents Ijebu North State Constituency 2.
Last week, no fewer than 22 lawmakers signed a petition for Kadiri’s removal.
Sparklight News learnt the impeachment was connected to the assault of the State Secretary to the State Government on hoarding of APC registration materials which led to the plots to sack him and all brought about an ad-hoc Committee was set up by Speaker Kunle Oluomo to investigate the allegations against Kadiri.
Part of the allegations against him include “gross misconduct.”
He was expected to respond in writing to the Investigation Committee headed by Hon. Yusuff Sherrif.
It was gathered he was impeached on Thursday morning during plenary.
