School resumption: Jan 18 sacrosanct-Minister

Mallam Adamu Adamu,Minister,Federal Ministry of Education has said that the January 18th, 2021 resumption date for schools stands.

According to a statement from Mr. Ben Goong, director, press and public relations of the Ministry stated the decision not to alter the date was taken after wide consultation.

The statement explained that the Ministry had wide consultations and also met with the commissioners for education adding that the outcome of the consultation is that majority of the stakeholders want the January 18 resumption date to remain.

Institutions,parents and Students are enjoined to compulsorily make use of their face mask,ensure social distancing,use temperature checks and take necessary precautionary measures so as to be safe of Corona virus.

Institutions are also to ensure that water is available at all times and sanitizer,the statements mainted.

“Adherence to all other non-pharmaceutical protocols,restrictions and containment measures as may be prescribed and approved by PTF from time to time”.
