Pa Samuel Taiwo Adesile was born an anglican in the sleepy town of Ofada in Ogun State.
He never for once stay far from the teachings of the anglican communion which impacted positively in his life.
Adesile,a man of unquestionable character.
A Twin by birth but his twin brother account wasn’t found which means he or she must have died at birth.
Fondly called St. Adesile by family and admirers because of his initials.
He was Born in 1938 at Abule Arigbomowo ,Obafemi Owode Local Government to Joseph Adesile and Olufunke Adesile. He attended All Saint School Owode and also Secondary School in Owode. He later after acquiring necessary formal education went to Oyo in 1960 where he joined the service of the defunct National Bank of Nigeria . From Oyo,work took him to Agege,Jos,kano and Igbo-ora and finally Sagamu where he retired
After his retirement,he was appointed Manager of Oluwo Adigbe Community Bank, Adigbe, Abeokuta.
He was a very politically inclined person who wants a new Nigeria. He served in many capacities in Ofada area of Obafemi Owode Local Government. He was a community leader and was councilor at that time.
He was a very active christian at the Anglican Church. He worshipped at St Luke’s Anglican Church,Jos,Holy Trinity Church Kano(Cathedral). His services continued at St John’s Church Igbein,Abeokuta where he was the parish accountant,District Treasurer of Ofada District Church Council.
He was member of the synod and standing committee of finance of the Egba Diocese.
He was happily married with children. One of his children is the Publisher of Sparklight news,Tosin Adesile. Others both in Nigeria and Abroad include Tunde ,Owolabi,Soji,Remi,Biola and Segun.
Since his death,the diocese,other churches aside St. John’s Igbein played no role and he wasn’t remembered for all his time and contributions.
Moral lesson-take care of yourself and build a legacy for yourself.
Once you are no more,nobody remembers you.
23 year after,Samuel Taiwo Adesile continues to live on.
