Brazilian football icon Hulk has tied the knot with Camila Angelo, the niece of his ex-wife, Iran Angelo, in a religious ceremony held in Campina Grande, his hometown.
The couple first married in a civil ceremony in 2020 and decided to host a formal religious wedding on Friday to celebrate their union.
The ceremony took place at The Diocesan Cathedral of Our Lady of the Conception and was attended by close friends and family. Hulk, 38, donned a wine-colored suit and walked down the aisle accompanied by his mother, while Camila wore a designer wedding gown and was escorted by her father.
Sharing his joy on Instagram, Hulk posted heartfelt words: “Before God and the promises of our love, we unite in one heart, beginning our eternity together, life! I love you.”
Hulk and Iran Angelo ended their 12-year relationship in 2019. They share three children: Ian, Tiago, and Alice. Soon after their split, Hulk began dating Camila, and the couple now have two daughters, Aisha and Zaya.
However, not all reactions to the wedding were positive. Rayssa, one of Iran’s sisters, expressed her disapproval on social media, accusing Camila of betraying her family.
She reportedly wrote: “Today is a hard day to swallow… Seeing a granddaughter, who grew up under our mother’s roof, betray her own family in such a cruel way would be an impossible blow to overcome.”
Despite the controversy, Hulk appears focused on his future with Camila. Known for his remarkable stint at FC Porto between 2008 and 2012, the striker now plays for Brazilian club Atlético Mineiro.
