Pastor Enoch Adejare, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has once again spoken about how he believes his life will end, peacefully, after attending a Sunday service and enjoying his favourite meal, pounded yam.

Speaking on the fourth day of RCCG’s ongoing International Convention themed “The Overcomers,” Pastor Adeboye reaffirmed a vision he first shared two years ago. He said he would not die from any illness but would pass on gently and painlessly.
“I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” the revered cleric said.
During his sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions,” he encouraged Christians to boldly claim the blessings that belong to them in Christ—healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and long life.
Using the biblical story of the Israelites taking the Promised Land, Adeboye stressed that believers must often fight to possess what is already theirs.
“Your best friend, Jesus Christ, paid a high price for your healing,” he said, urging Christians to reject sickness and embrace divine health by faith.
On prosperity, Pastor Adeboye noted, “The One who owns all the gold and silver paid a terrible price so that you wouldn’t be poor. If you choose to remain poor, that’s on you.”
He also criticized society’s double standards toward wealthy believers. “If you succeed as a Christian, they attack you. If you d+e poor, they ask, ‘Where was your God?’” he said.
