Mr. Charles Ebuebu, Director General, National Broadcasting Commission,
has received the Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos and his Management team at the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Comrade Salihu Dembos noted that the NTA team was at the Commission to familiarize with the new Director General and the Management of NBC, as well as, foster the spirit of continuous collaboration and synergy in all areas of broadcasting and regulation that are paramount to nation building.
Alhaji Dembos, further stated that in this digital age where technology goes hand in hand with creativity, it was Imperative that we use our collective efforts to sharpen the narrative of our nation through effective content delivery that promotes our cultural heritage.
The DG, NTA, pointed out, that it was the responsibility of broadcasters to reflect the diversity of our rich cultural heritage through programmes, that resonate with every segment of the society. Adding, that synergizing with NBC will set new standards and leave an enduring legacy in the annals of the Broadcast industry in Nigeria.
Welcoming the DG, NTA, to the Commission, Mr Charles Ebuebu expressed delight in having the NTA team at the NBC headquarters. He noted, that the place of NTA in nation building and industrial advancement cannot be over-emphasized. Hence, the NTA remains one of the great partners of NBC in the broadcast industry.
He added, that the digital age is here and the Commission is doing its best to put in place, the appropriate regulatory framework, so as, to ensure that the norms, value and culture of the nation is preserved in such a way that it promotes growth and development in all areas of our livelihood as a nation.
Mr. Ebuebu, further assured the NTA Boss and his team that the Commission is available to support and collaborate with them and other interested stakeholders to achieve these set goals that is aimed at projecting a positive narrative of our country in digital broadcasting.
