More than 400 households have been forced out of their homes after a devastating flood swept through Kigo Road Extension in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
One of the victims said they barely managed to escape with their children. The Floodwater entered their homes around midnight while they were asleep. Another victim added that many families, including women and children, are now stranded and exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Another resident described the situation as tragic, noting that the disaster has created hunger, insecurity, and displacement.The victims have appealed to government agencies and humanitarian groups to urgently provide relief materials, security, and medical aid to affected households.
