IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector-General of Police, has ordered a thorough investigation into allegations raised in a viral video by a retired Superintendent of Police over issues affecting police pensioners’ welfare and benefits.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force PRO, he said that the IGP has directed NPF Pensions to urgently review the claims, identify any lapses, and take necessary action to address the concerns.
He emphasizes that the Force is not insensitive to the plight of its retirees, many of whom served with dedication and honour.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of both serving and retired officers, the IGP assures all stakeholders that necessary reforms will be pursued. He urges calm as the investigation progresses, promising to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure lasting solutions.
