SENATE PASSES FOR SECOND READING BILL TO STRENGTHEN NIGERIA DIGITAL POLICY ARCHITECTURE

The Senate has passed for second reading a bill that seeks to strengthen Nigeria’s digital policy architecture.

The proposed legislation sponsored by Senator salisu Afolabi provides exhaustive legal framework for electronic and digital transactions.

The bill enables the safe deployment of artificial intelligence across sectors and lays groundwork for AI related research, product development and local capacity development.

Meanwhile senate has reassured that bills for concurrence from the House of Representatives will continue to receive due consideration.
