Taraba Boat Mishap: Authority Commence Enforcement of strict Regulations

Three persons said to have reportedly died in last Friday devastating boat mishap at the collapsed Namnai Bridge along Jalingo-Wukari road in TARABA state have prompted authorities, the National Inland Waterways Authority to enforce strict safety regulations against future recurrence.

While travelers express worries over continuous neglect of the collapsed bridge since last year August, and calling on government to expedite action on the situation of the collapsed bridge. The federal government through the North East Development Commission seem to have commence remedial measures before the reconstruction of the collapsed Namnai Bridge linking the North East to the Southern part of the Nigeria.

Despite the risk, travelers are left with no option as they are seen plying the Waterways with their canoes, boat pending the construction of the bridge
