Two towers along Shiroro–Kaduna transmission lines have been vandalized, disrupting power supply to the North West part of the country.
According to a statement issued by Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) which stated, “it will deploy the newly procured “emergency restoration system” to the site, pending the reconstruction of the damaged towers.
“TCN added that it has conducted an aerial survey in collaboration with security operatives, given the area’s vulnerability to banditry, which poses threat to both TCN installations and personnel.
“A temporary measure is been implemented to supply bulk power to Kaduna and Kano regions through Kaduna – Jos transmission line.”
