365 days: Olowojebutu-led Unilag Alumni Lagos State celebrates one year Anniversary

The University of Lagos,Alumni Association,Lagos State branch is set for what is described as the mother of all events to celebrate its one year anniversary next month with lined up events.

The Olowojebutu-led Executives in the past one year had instituted eventful programmes promoting Unilag brand and adding value to the community.

According to a statement signed by Onikoyi Adekunle,Publicity Secretary stated that the event will kick start on the 7th December, 2021 with a press conference to be followed by a thanksgiving service at the Chapel of Christ our light on the 12th December, 2021.

The statement further revealed that medical outreach for free hundred surgeries and 1000 eyes glasses and Sporting event will hold on the 13th and 14th December,2021 respectively at Unilag medical centre and International School playing ground adding that the mother of all event,Colloquim will hold on 15th December,2021 at the J.F Ade Ajayi with distinguished Nigerians to be in attendance.
The anniversary will be rounded off with a jumat service on the 17th December, 2021 and 2020 Annual General Meeting/Dinner for all Akokites at the Staff School University of Lagos.

Dignitaries expected at the events include; Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola,Minister of Interior,Federal Republic of Nigeria,Mr Bayo Olurotimi,Managing Director, Greenwhich Merchant Bank,Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe and a host of others.

In the last one year,the Chairman,Dr Oluwatosin Olowojebutu had embarked on well-meaning programmes and projects touching lives.

As part of the numerous programmes include; training and capacity building for members of the executives, organisation of webinar to intimate alumni of COVID-19 and financial webinar,floating of Unilag Alumni Hotspot magazine,Annual Professor Adetonunbo Sofoluwe lecture was held in grand style and support Unilag Stsff School inter-house support and many others.
