Philip Shaibu, Deputy Governor of Edo State said he felt very hurt and betrayed by his Governor Godwin Obaseki for not backing his candidature in the upcoming 2024 governorship election.
Speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday morning, Philip Shaibu said he was hurt that Obaseki is supporting an outsider instead of him.
He said, “I lost about 20 per cent of my political capital in Edo North just because i supported Obaseki against the will of Oshomole
I added value in for the second term of Obaseki, of my political structure, in terms of finance both in Naira and Dollars, all the vehicles that were used to campaign in 2016 are mine.
“The Bible says the heart of a man is desperately wicked, Seeing what the governor is doing and relating it to the bible is now making me understand the bible better.
