Peter Obi Condemns Uzo Uwani Killings, Advocates For Peace

Peter Obi, Former Presidential Aspirant of Labour party, condemned the killings of innocent villagers residing at Uzo Uwani Local Government area of Enugu State, and also called for peace to reign.

In a press release through his X(formerly Twitter) handle, Peter Obi, advocated for undiluted peace by firmly notifying the public that the village witnessing the killings in Enugu State is the agricultural hub of the state and this act of terrorism will affect food production.

According to him, he said he visited Uzo Uwani when the village was rampaged by fire attacks on hostels by terror mongers in 2016, of which he duly helped with the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the affected areas.

In his words, he said: “We must not allow further spilling of the blood of innocent Nigerians under any guise. Enough must now be enough. The government should show visible commitment to the security of lives and property of the Nigeriagn people.”

Speaking further, he also said the security agents must be proactive in their dealings because it is now visible that Uzo Uwani is prone to attacks, therefore, this must be looked into so that, such will not occurr in the future.
