President Cyril Ramaphosa Appeals to All Political Parties to Work Together for South Africa

President Cyril Ramaphosa has appealed to all political parties that won votes last week to find common ground by overcoming their differences and working together for the good of the country.

He disclosed this while addressing the nation after electoral authorities announced the results on Sunday, “South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa gave a speech after the election results were announced, hailing the country’s democracy as robust and enduring. He acknowledged that each party has a mandate based on their campaign promises and emphasized that all parties share a broader mandate to work together. Ramaphosa stressed that the people expect all parties to collaborate within the constitutional framework to address the country’s challenges.

Ramaphosa called on all parties to recognize that the results of the election reflect the will of the people.
Let us remember that the seats we occupy in Parliament do not belong to us, they belong to the people, We have held another successful election that has been free, fair and peaceful.

“Our people have spoken. Whether we like it or not, they have spoken. We have heard the voices of our people and we must respect their voices and their wishes.” He added.
