Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information, has said each of the State Governors has received 20 trucks of rice to distribute to the most vulnerable.
He disclosed this on Monday where he said, “The Federal government will continue to support all the state government, local government and all the Sub-Nationals so that the hardship experience by Nigerian in term of food supply is bridge. We will continue to do everything to ensure that Nigerians have enough food to eat.
Earlier, the Minster hinted after the Federal Executive Council Meeting that FG has allocated 44,400 bags of rice to all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
He said each shipment consisted of 1,200 bags of 25kg rice. These will be distributed to the most in-need individuals and families.
He mentioned that 20 trucks filled with rice will be distributed to every one of the 36 states in the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
