Many parts of Nigeria have been thrown into darkness as the national electricity grid collapsed again on Monday.
An official of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, who confirmed the incident, said it was a partial collapse.
The TCN official, who did not want to be named because he was not authorised to speak to the press, told our correspondent that power is being restored gradually.
It was learnt that total generation on the grid dropped to zero as of 1:33 pm on Monday.With this development, this will be the fifth collapse of the national grid in 2024.
