Uganda Police Apprehends 4 Suspects for Gruesome Murder of Godfrey Tabandama

The Uganda Police have arrested four persons for allegedly involving in the murder of Mzee Godfrey Tabandama, the father of human rights activist Natumanya Andrew, aka Tabz.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Uganda Police on Thursday which states, “We received information of the murder of Mr Nyehangane Godfrey Tabandama, a 72-year-old retired teacher and resident of Nyamiyaga Cell, Kakunyu Ward, Kabwohe Division, Sheema Municipality in the night of September 18-19, 2024.

“Police in Sheema responded and managed to apprehend a number of suspects who include; Magezi Victor, a 22-year-old herdsman for the deceased, Turyasingura Stuart, a 20-year-old herdsman, and Kato Stephen, a 17-year-old student and worker at the deceased’s home.

“This evening more two suspects have been apprehended from Kyabugimbi and Kyamuhunga following good leads provided by suspects in our custody. These are Hanning Byesiza and Godious Nuwagaba.”
