Evangel Ganiyu, a student of Anchor University of Lagos, a private institution owned by Deeper Life Bible church has called out the university over discrimination of female Students after experiencing harassment.

Evangel tweeting through her twiiter @dragana said she woke up to feel the weight of another person beside her and was shocked to see an unskilled labour worker half naked beside her.

As a result of this, she immediately shouted for safety and alerted hostel workers which later led her to identify the person after all the unskilled workers were paraded.

After identifying him, his name goes by Uche Okoro and he immediately denied the allegation until another student came to identify him for harassing her too sometimes.

Evangel added that Uche and the supervisor went to the Vice Chancellors office. And the VC asked Evangel, ” was your clothes on?” ” was your underwear on” to which Evangel said yes to both.

The VC later said Evangel was being economical with the truth and that she is a bad girl and needs to be tested by a female doctor.

Evangel Ganiyu said: “Please, hear me out. This is not the first time something like this is happening in this school where a female student is abused, and the school tries to cover it up by shaming her or telling her to forgive and forget.

“She added: “I have had multiple bad experiences in this school and I have never gotten justice. Please don’t let it happen again. Please hold Anchor University accountable for the multiple ways they discriminate their female students”.
