Taye Arimoro, a Nigerian actor, has issued a legal demand to fellow actress Peggy Ovire, requesting a public apology and N100 million in damages over an alleged assault on a movie set.

The dispute reportedly occurred on November 11, when Arimoro attempted to leave after completing his scheduled call time. He claimed Ovire blocked his car and insisted he film two more scenes. According to him, the situation escalated, and he was allegedly detained and assaulted by Ovire and her team.
Ovire, on the other hand, rejected his claims, insisting Arimoro was the one who became aggressive first and allegedly attacked her production manager.
In the formal letter from his lawyers, which Arimoro posted on Instagram, he accused Ovire of violating his rights to dignity, personal liberty, and freedom of movement. The letter described the alleged actions as “unlawful, inhuman, and degrading,” adding that the incident caused him emotional distress, psychological trauma, and financial losses.
Arimoro’s legal team demanded two things within seven days:
- A public video apology posted on all her social media platforms, including a permanent post on her verified Instagram account.
- Payment of N100 million in damages.
The letter stated that failure to comply would force Arimoro to take legal action to enforce his rights. As of now, Ovire has not publicly responded to the demands.
