By Ikugbadi Oluwasegun

The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned the case between Omoyele Sowore, a Human Rights Activist and the federal government of Nigeria to the 4th of April 2024. The court had earlier adjourned the treasonable felony trial against the human rights activist to the 14th of February 2024 because the FG which is the prosecutor has failed to appear before the court.

According to a statement posted on Omoyele Sowore Instagram account, he said, “We were at the Federal High Court in Abuja today in furtherance of #RevolutionNow #ShamTrial by the Nigerian government, we arrived court ready for trial but as typical of the FGN they said they’re not ready, claiming the last prosecutor has been transferred out of the Ministry of (In)Justice. Again, our lawyers argued strongly that Judge discard of the case but the judge adjourned again after “warning” he would dismiss the case if they are not ready! Remember it was the same threat last time!
