Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) have been charged to embrace leadership with unwavering vision, purpose, and commitment to public service.
This call to action came during an exclusive fireside chat with Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Founder of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and Chairman of Access Holdings, at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
During the discussion, Aig-Imoukhuede urged the Fellows to see public service as the highest calling, one that demands not just competence but also an unrelenting passion for human progress.
He commended their dedication and described them as humanists, emphasising that true leadership is about prioritizing the well-being of others and making decisions that foster collective growth.
He challenged the Fellows to develop a strong personal vision, stay true to their values, and take bold steps that create lasting impact. “Everything you need to succeed is already within you, I encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to public service, not just in the early years of your careers but throughout your journey to positions of influence”, he added.
Echoing the charge, the Executive Secretary of LJLA, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, reaffirmed the Academy’s mission to nurture leaders who will transform society. “At the Academy, we are dedicated to shaping visionary leaders, and this session with Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede was both insightful and inspiring. “The fireside chat underscored the core mission of LJLA to raise a new generation of leaders equipped to drive meaningful change and elevate the nation’s future”, she added.
Marvellous Olusegun, one of the Academy’s Fellows, described the session as a call to action, reinforcing the need to stay true to one’s purpose and contribute meaningfully to society.
