The All Progressive Congress has released a 422members campaign list with President Muhammadu Buhari as chairman.
Also,state governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are to serve as state, zonal and regional coordinators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2023 election.
The ruling APC, in the list released late Friday, picked members comprising President Muhammadu Buhari, governors, former and serving ministers, lawmakers, party officials and others from 35 States leaving only Taraba out.
President Buhari is to lead the campaign council as chairman while the presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, will serve as his deputies.
Vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, is the vice chairman of the council.
No role was given to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, whose name was missing on the list released by the council’s secretary, James Faleke while the spokesperson for APC announced that Osibanjo name was missing because the entire Buhari government cannot abandon governance for campaign leaving the Vice President and the Secretary to the federal Government.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was one of the presidential aspirants defeated by Mr Tinubu at the primary election in June.
Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, who is the director general of the council, is to be assisted by former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, and Hadiza Bala Usman.
