ASUU meeting with FG ends in deadlock

Despite the high hopes,the meeting between the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the negotiation team of the Federal Government ended in a deadlock despite the widespread news that UTAS has been accepted in place of IPPIS.

Professor Emmanuel Osodeke,ASUU president had ealrier had on Monday confirmed to Channels Television that the union would meet the Federal Government’s team.

ASUU president had assured Nigerians that the union would call off its strike if the Federal Government presented a good proposal.

The meeting, which took place at the National Universities Commission, was headed by the Emeritus Professor, Nimi-Briggs ended in a dead-lock.

The minister is expected to address the press on Thursday.
