Bandits Attacked Plateau Communities, Killed 40 People

Over forty individuals have been reportedly killed by bandits in Zurak Kompani and Bandalala communities of Bashar district, Wase local government area of Plateau state.

According to reports, the who residents spoke to Channels Television said the villagers were killed on Monday night while they were commuting from their daily work.

The residents also claimed the villages were attacked at the same time, houses were burnt, properties were destroyed, some were killed while others were maimed.

Thirty innocent souls were killed in Kompani Zurak and another ten individuals were also killed in Bandalala.

It was reported that some of the inhabitants of the attacked communities have fled to neighboring communities to seek shelter and peace.

Audu Ummah, one of the residents of Wase town, said some of the members of the communities are receiving urgent medical attention while some survivors have moved to the closest community.

However, security agents have not commented on the issue of the attack in Wase local government area up till now.
