 Police Dislodge Bandits Camp Neutralizes Two, Charge Others To Court in Benue

Benue State police command has dislodged bandits and destroyed their camps in Sankara axis of Katsina – ala local government area of the state.

Men of Operation Zenda, a Joint police taskforce team carried out the Operation at Tse Uza, Mbatyula Council Ward, Katsina-Ala Local Government Area on the thirtieth of June, 2024.

SP Catherine Anene, command public relations officer, in a statement said this came following intensified effort which began in the last three months, as some suspects were arrested and two others neutralized during exchange of gun fire.

The image maker says Arms and ammunition were recovered and many of the camps dislodged, among the items are: Two Pistols loaded with ammunition, three (3) locally made short guns, thirteen (13) motorcycles, camouflage uniforms, six (6) walkie-talkies, one (1) Toyota Corolla and one (1) tricycle.

According to statement, CP. Hassan Steve Yabanet, Commissioner of Police, commended the bravery exhibited by the officers, and enjoined the people of Sankera to avail useful information to the police to nab those at large with gunshot injuries.
