The 27th edition of the Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) is drawing to a close with a colourful ceremony attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, and academic leaders.
The event showcased the spirit of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship that defined the 2025 edition.

Benson IDAHOSA university is champion of the 27th NUGA with 31 medals followed by hosts university of Jos with 49 medals.
University of Benin placed third with 34 medals.
The closing ceremony, held at the host university’s sports arena and among dignitaries is the Governor of Plateau State, represented by the Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo, the Emir of Zuru, the Director General of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), and the INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan.
