Borno Attack: Tinubu appeals to Nigerians Not to Live In Fear

President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Borno State, to remain calm and not allow fear to take over following the recent Boko Haram attack on Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended condolences to the families affected by the attack. He also mourned the loss of “innocent lives, including military personnel, and those caught in friendly fire during the aerial interdiction of fleeing terrorists by the Air Force.”

Tinubu condemned the incident, describing the attack as a cruel assault on defenseless citizens. He commended the military for their swift response, which led to the killing of several terrorists and forced the attackers to retreat.

The President also directed the military and other security agencies to urgently step up efforts to rescue those abducted during the attack.
