Buhari visits Kuje Correctional Centre to assess terror attack

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday made a stopover at the Kuje Correctional Centre, Abuja, for sighting the damage done to the facility by invading terrorists the previous night.

The Terrorists, believed to be Boko Haram elements, on Tuesday evening stormed the correctional facility, leaving one security personnel and six inmates dead.

They also freed about 600 inmates, many of whom were said to be detained Boko Haram inmates.

Buhari was on his way to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport where he would be airlifted to Dakar, Senegal, for the International Development Association (IDA) for Africa Summit.
