Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi wins the first gold medal for Nigeria at the ongoing African Athletics Championships in Douala.
The 31-year-old athlete pounded
out a Championship Record of 21.20m to win in the men’s Shot Put.
As back-to-back African Games Champion, the Nigerian-American recorded a hat-trick of African Championship titles, to win the most gold medals by a male Shot Putter in the history of the Championships.
The 23rd African Senior Championships runs June 18-23 in Cameroon.
