Donald Trump On Verge Of Victory In U.S Presidential Election

Victory is being projected for Republican Candidate, Donald Trump, as he has defeated Vice President and Democratic Party candidate, Kamala Harris, in Georgia and North Carolina.

This is as counting continues in the U.S presidential election.

In Georgia, Trump polled 50.7 percent of the votes to defeat Harris who got 48.5 percent, thereby claiming the available 16 electoral votes in the state.

In Pennsylvania, Trump got 50.9% of the votes to win 19 electoral votes, according to AP.

Georgia and Pennsylvania are among the seven battleground states in the US Election with Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada, making up the swing states.

So far, Trump has won 267 electoral colleges with just 3 remaining to reach the required 270. Harris on her part has 214.

Meanwhile, Fox has projected Trump as the winner of the election, just as BBC and CBS projected the former president to claim most of the swing states.

Donald Trump is billed to address his jubilant supporters in Florida, shortly after the final results are announced.
