Ex-Oyo PMS Boss, ‘Auxilliary’, Remanded in Prison Over Murder Charge

Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, has remanded Lamidi Mukaila, ‘Auxilliary’, former Oyo State Park Management System (PMS)boss at Agodi Correctional Center during the court sitting for his alleged murder case.

Olabisi Ogunkanmi, the Chief Magistrate, ordered the remand of the former PMS boss due to lack of jurisdiction, pending the time legal advice would be issued by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and this has given room for the matter to be adjourned till July 1, 2024.

Lamidi Mukaila, ‘Auxilliary’ had been charged for four offences, skirting around conspiracy, stealing and murder.

According to LEADERSHIP, CSP Funke Fawole, officer-in-Charge, Legal Department of Police, Oyo State Command, informed the court that Lamidi and his other colleagues allegedly committed the offences.

“On June 16, 2021, at about 3.30 pm, Lamidi and others now at large allegedly caused the death of one Azeez Rahman Abiodun, 36, by stabbing him with a knife in the chest.

“On June 16, 2021, the defendant and others allegedly conspired and stole assorted phones valued at N150 million, property of Azeez Hammed Adebayo”, CSP Funke said.

She also added that the offences were committed at Baba Onilu Shopping Complex, Iwo road, Ibadan.

She legally quoted further, maintaining that the offences were punishable under the law and were also against the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
