The Federal Government and Sokoto State Government have declared a joint effort to enhance measures in combatting security challenges.
On Tuesday, at Sabon Fegi in Sabon Birni town, Idris Gobir, the state deputy governor, disclosed this information during his speech to the audience.
Gobir outlined the relocation as a strategy to address the security challenges in the state, emphasizing the government’s intention to partner with the Federal Government in establishing a military base in the Sabon Birmi Local Government Area.
“A military camp will be established in one of the three towns experiencing frequent banditry attacks. The towns are Burkusuma, Dama, and Magira,” he stated.
