In what seems to be a regular occurrence on the Otedela bridge has happened again.
The incident which led to heavy traffic at the Berger-Alausa-Magodo axis of Lagos State was caused by a fuel tanker which caught fire on Otedola bridge on Saturday.
Our reporter who gathered that the incident happened in the evening around 5: 50pm.
The incident raised lot of anxiety on the expressway as many vehicles made a U-turn to avoid being trapped.
Many passengers were also seen alighting from vehicles running for their dear life.
The fire explosion got many passengers stranded around Alausa Secretariat and toll gate bus stops.
Coming in and out of Lagos automatically seems impossible except for alternative routes.
Details on what caused the fire and casualties are not yet confirmed.
Many vehicles were stand still while passengers and drivers blamed the Government for not putting in place emergency rapid squad saying in other countries of the world, emergencies were attended to faster.
According to a passenger who preferred anonymity told our reporter that the Otedola Bridge has become synonymous with tanker explosion and government was yet to do anything significant to forestall such incident.
