Barely twenty four hours after a truck went up in flames along the Ologbo axis of the Benin/Warri Expressway, the Edo state governor Monday Okpebholo has promised to fix the deplorable road despite being a federal highway.
The governor made the disclosure when he led other members of his executive council after Wednesday’s executive council meeting at the government house in Benin City.
Governor Okpebholo, while lamenting over the sorry state of the road that has made life unbearable for road users, promised prompt intervention.
The head of the contracting firm also promised to complete construction works before next year’s raining season.
