Yakubu Gowon,Former Head of State, has praised President Bola Tinubu, saying he is “doing his best all round” in managing Nigeria.
Gowon made the remarks during a visit to the Presidential Villa on Saturday, where he met the president to acknowledge his performance.
He commended Tinubu’s leadership in political, economic, and social sectors, and his efforts to tackle the country’s security challenges. “Every other area, political, economic, social, and of course, the major problem that we have today, security, he’s doing everything to deal with those for the good of Nigeria,” Gowon said.
When asked about areas needing improvement, Gowon said the administration is already addressing Nigeria’s main challenges. “There is no particular place. He’s got to look after the interests of Nigeria in all areas,” he added.
Gowon said his visit was to appreciate Tinubu’s efforts and acknowledge Nigeria’s progress under his leadership. “I came to see him and to thank him for all the good work that he’s doing for the country,” he said.
