IGP Kayode Egbetokun, Inspector General of Police, has presented cheques worth N63,361,902.37k to the next of kin of 30 police officers who died in active service in Kogi State.
SP William Ovye-Aya, Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement released on Thursday.
He added that the cheques were presented by CP Onuoha Bethrand, state’s Commissioner of Police, on behalf of the IGP.
“The beneficiaries thanked the IGP and the State Police Command for the support and assured the Police of judicious use of the money,” the statement added.
