A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the tune of N10 million and one surety in like sum to Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate of African Action Congress (AAC).

The convener of #Revolutionnow movement was mandated to provide a surety who must be a responsible individual with landed property valued in like sum.
The surety is expected to deposit the original documents of landed property and a passport photograph to the registrar of the court.
While ruling on the bail application, the trial judge, Justice Musa Liman, ordered Sowore to deposit his international passport with the registrar of the court.
The judge, however, gave him 24 hours to perfect the bail conditions or be remanded by the police until the bail is perfected.
Meanwhile, reacting via his social media, the human rights activist vowed not to subject himself to corrupt civil servant for bail.
He wrote, “They granted the “bail,” but I am not going to be bailed out by a corrupt civil servant at level 17 or 16.”
