The Governing Council of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), at its meeting presided over by the Pro- Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Chief Wole Olanipekun on Friday, December 6, 2024, approved the appointment of Mrs. Victoria Abosede Wickliffe as Registrar and Secretary to Council; and Dr. Olatokunbo Christopher Okiki as University Librarian.
Mrs. Wickliffe’s appointment for a five-year tenure is with effect from Saturday, February 1, 2025 while Dr. Okiki’s five (5) year tenure is with effect from Friday, March 14, 2025.
Their appointments followed the recommendations of the Selection Boards for the Appointment of a Substantive Registrar and the University Librarian, respectively.
The University’s Governing Council, at its meeting of Thursday, December 5, 2024, constituted the Selection Board to interact with nine (9) shortlisted applicants for the position.
This is in pursuant to Section 7.1 of the University of Lagos Act, 1962 (as amended) in the Universities Miscellaneous Act 1993.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on behalf of Management, staff, and students of the University heartily congratulates Dr. Olatokunbo Christopher Okiki on his appointment and wishes him a successful tenure.
