Uba Sani, Kaduna State’s Governor, has issued a directive of 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and some metropolitan areas in Zaria.
The directive came after an emergency security council meeting which was presided by the Governor in order to assess the security situation of the state.
According to the statement issued by Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest has been hijacked by violent individuals who have resorted into looting shops and damaging people’s personal properties, and this in its whole form is a signal to anarchy, to prevent this; curfew must be declared.
Citizens were warned to remain indoor while the security operatives should maintain law and order in the state.
