LSFRS Repsonds To Over A Thousand Emergency Incidents In Year 2025

‎‎The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) have responded to a total of 1,072 emergency incidents in the first half of year 2025.

This was contained in a mid year report and made available to newsmen which stated that, “The incidents comprised 922 fire calls, 2 minor explosion incidents, 10 building collapses- eight of it were partial, 73 rescue operations, and 65 salvage incidents. The report also noted staggering 315 false emergency calls, emphasizing the persistent challenge posed by non-genuine emergencies.

‎”During this period, the Service commendably rescued 252 individuals from perilous situations, including fires and building collapses. Regrettably, 62 fatalities were recorded.

‎”The swift and decisive actions of the LSFRS were instrumental in protecting property across Lagos State. However, estimated property valued at approximately ₦64.32 billion was saved, while losses were estimated at ₦10.72 billion.”
