The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed a dynamite explosion at a residential area of Sabon Pegi, Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident, according to the Agency, occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 26th January 2025, at about 7:30 am.
The exploded dynamite were reported kept by a local artisan miner in the wrecked apartment that he had rented for his workers.
Some residents of the area were affected by the incident and property destroyed.
Meanwhile, NEMA Minna operation office and the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA) are working together in response to incident.
